The Epistemic Game Research (EGR) group is a research collaborative position is funded to develop a computational model of player/mentor interactions in epistemic games, and then use that model to assess player performance and generate automated mentor responses. The new REU program at UTC, “Research on Biomedical Informatics,” will focus on computing research in areas such as applications for specialized hardware (such as Xbox360 and iPhone), data mining, machine learning, and information security, with particular emphasis on medical applications.
